Our History

Key events in the history of Craft Bearing Company, Inc.:

1992 - Individuals with extensive experience and backgrounds in designing and manufacturing saw the need for a split cylindrical roller bearing of exceptional quality that would be reliable and easy to replace for both the MRO and OEM markets.

1992 Forward - Bearing design work, research and development, manufacturing and testing to destruction to confirm that the desired quality is maintained.

1994 - Craft Bearing Company, Inc. was formed and registered in Virginia, USA to produce the bearing and introduce it to the market.

2000 - Craft Bearing Company’s bearings are the first split cylinder roller bearing to be awarded Lloyd's Register Type Approval.

2000 Forward - Craft Bearing obtains acceptance and approval by the U. S. Department of Defense.

2004 - Craft Bearing acquired its current production facility where it now manufactures all bearings and component parts, performs all inspections, and warehouses completed bearings in its plant in Newport News, Virginia.

Throughout its years of operation - Craft Bearing has become recognized for its quality bearings, pillow blocks, and flange units. Craft is accepted and available though all major bearing distributors.
